The Need for  a Personal Wealth Plan

You work not just to pay for your day-to-day expenses, but to invest in property, acquisitions, family and ultimately, so you can retire and enjoy your time.

Clients that take advantage of Personal Wealth Plans can range from nurses, government employees, mechanics, management, sales, oil & gas workers, and other established positions.

With less than a 1/3rd of private companies offering a pension, the onus is now on the employee to fund their retirement. Standard Canadian government benefits only pay a fraction of what you may need for retirement.

Our investment programs help our clients transition into retirement with an income that is comparable to what they currently earn. Having a secure, high-standard of income for retirement means you are able to continue your standard of living without having to resort to other means (ie. part-time work and/or downsizing).

Building Your Personal Wealth Plan

Meeting 1 - An Introduction to Personal Wealth

Our clients have both the capacity and the desire to create wealth. Capacity is essentially excess income that isn’t necessary to run your household. Desire starts with the realization that you need to save money.

Our first meeting gives us an opportunity to get to know one another and ask key questions surrounding lifestyle, spending habits, expectations, career, and background.

At this point, we will have established if we are a good fit to go forward. The next step will be creating your file and gather financial information.

Afterward, our team will complete an analysis of your group benefits, personal investments, pensions and give you a budget worksheet.

Meeting 2 - How Investments, Insurance and Funds Can Build Your Financial Portfolio

After completing an assessment, we will have a good idea of the solutions that would be of most benefit to you. We will cover how investment vehicles work, their tax implications, and who your fund managers are. We’ll discuss how insurance works both as protection and also as a tax shelter.

Something we take pride in, is that it is common for our clients to come away from our meetings with a true understanding of how some of these complex financial mechanisms work.

Meeting 3 - Presenting Your Personal Wealth Plan

In preparing your plan, we will have taken into full consideration your current investments, existing benefits as well as your employer sponsored savings plan. Your Personal Wealth Plan has been customized with specific investment vehicles, insurance and funds that we have selected. We will show you projections of your personal investment portfolio, discuss potential risks, and introduce you to the specific fund managers who are allocated to your plan.

We’ll have an opportunity to go over any changes and, we will give you a copy of your plan for final review.

Meeting 4 - Implementing and Signing Your Personal Wealth Plan

With your final approval, we will use this meeting to open your accounts and celebrate this important milestone.

Financial Reviews, Monitoring and Adjustments

On your behalf, we will monitor your investments performance, market conditions, and anything else that may affect your Personal Wealth Plan. Throughout the year, we will keep in communication, and meet when necessary if significant changes are required
